I had been looking for a roofer to repair our roof cap after a storm but found it difficult to get anyone out to the house. Finally, I found James & Whitney. They communicated with me clearly and came out to the house promptly . Thank you! I highly recommend them for your roofing needs!

We contracted with James & Whitney to redo our roof and replace an existing door and window in our 20yr old home. Having grown up in the construction business, this has to be one of the most organized firms I've experienced working with.Their communication was excellent.Staff showed up on the date and time committed.Work was done quickly (don't blink) - there had to be 30+ people working on my roof to complete it in a single day.I had some minor frustration with picking out a door within their allowance, without actually knowing the allowance or cost of doors in the showroom I was sent to, but aside from that it was as near-perfect an experience you could expect.

James & Whitney were amazing to work with. They were very professional from quote to completion. They arrived when they said they would, stripped the old shingles from the roof, and put down the new shingles in a day. Left the area around the house clean and nail free. I highly recommend them and will use them on future work I need on my home.

James & Whitney Co. were as professional as they come and I couldn't be happier with their work! It started off with an on site assessment conducted by Chris Duffy. His knowledge and assurance was a relief in a time of stress with having a leaky chimney/roof. Once he thoroughly explained the process and next steps, it was onto the planning stage for the work. JD executed the repairs and did it flawlessly and quickly. I can't express how much gratitude I have for the James and Whitney Co. team; a team that includes Michelle, the Admistrative Assistant! Top notch company. 5 stars isn't enough!

Purchased a house that needed a new roof sooner rather than later. James & Whitney Co were quick to respond, and quick to get on-site with an estimate. The estimate was quite accurate, and well formatted. The originally scheduled day was forecasted to be a soaker, so they were quick to reschedule and got the roof done before the originally scheduled day. The work itself was quick and efficient, while maintaining a high level of quality and site maintenance. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for any exterior upgrades or repairs.

This is the first roof replacement I’ve ever had to deal with, and I was not looking forward to the process at all. After getting a good amount of inspections and estimates from different companies, James and Whitney came out on top for several reasons- reasonable prices, fast accurate communication, professional- yet understanding - attitude.The entire process was flawless and the end result is too.I will use them again on exterior work on my house.

We recently had eleven vinyl replacement windows installed on a summer home we own in Lincolnville Maine. We chose James & Whitney Co. to perform the work because we had them complete two other large jobs on the house this past year (two roof shingle jobs). The work was top-notch both times. Jay Violette was the project manager for the window job. All eleven windows were installed in one day and, once again, the work was excellent. The crew was very neat, and left the interior of the house as clean as it was prior to them arriving. It also should be pointed out that another supervisor at James & Whitney, Troy Trimble, was responsible for the overseeing of the shingle jobs we had done. I would highly recommend James & Whitney for any construction work you may need on your own property. They are honest, trustworthy, and very fair on their pricing.

Response time was excellent given the high demand for services of this kind. The crew who installed our gutters were polite and friendly, very skilled, and respectful of our property. The gutters are of the highest quality and were installed perfectly. I would hire James & Whitney again in a heartbeat if I need any further work. They’re the best!
